Macayo’s Ahwatukee location joined the family of restaurants in 1997 and has since been providing loyal neighborhood diners with delicious Mexican food in a vibrant atmosphere. Situated adjacent to the Ahwatukee Country Club, this restaurant is primely located to offer groups of all ages a fun and delicious dining experience in the heart of Phoenix’s East Valley. 

Born and raised in Mesa, Cruz began his career in the hospitality industry in 2011. He started as a dishwasher at Native Grill & Wings while he was attending St. Mary’s High School in downtown Phoenix. He continued to work there as he studied journalism in college. He then had an opportunity to manage, which is where Cruz discovered his niche and developed his passion for hospitality. 

In his free time, Cruz enjoys all things sports and loves spending time with his family.
