Mexican Layer Dip Recipe From Macayo’s

Looking for a dip with a twist? Our Macayo’s Mexican Layer Dip Recipe is a traditional recipe with a little kick. We enjoy it with an array of tortilla and corn chips, a margarita and good company. Perfect for parties!


10 oz. Macayo’s Taco Sauce

16 oz. can of refried beans

8 oz. sour cream

2 large avocados

1 lb. grated cheddar cheese

1/2 bottle hot sauce

1/2 cup chopped black olive

1/2 cup chopped green onions

1 1/2 cup diced tomatoes

1 chopped small onion

1 tsp. chili powder

1 tsp. garlic powder

1 tsp. black pepper


Spread the refried beans on the bottom of a baking dish. Mash avocados, onion, chili powder, garlic and pepper together. Spread over the beans in the baking dish. Spread sour cream on top of the avocado layer. Mix Macayo’s Taco Sauce, hot sauce, cheese, olives, greens onions and tomatoes. Spread over the sour cream layer.

Serve with hot tortilla chips.
